About the Scent

Marj means meadow in Arabic. Ahmed Al Maghribi named this fragrance after open land in bloom — and that is exactly what it smells like. Not a garden. Something wilder. Something that has been growing undisturbed.

It opens with oud, honey, pink pepper, and bergamot, sweet, spiced, and resinous all at once. Elemi, a rare citrus-resin note, adds a faint smokiness that sets Marj apart from the standard Arabian catalogue. It does not ease you in. It arrives.

The heart deepens with saffron, cinnamon, and cashmere wood. Jasmine and orange blossom keep it from going fully dark. Patchouli and vetiver give it roots. In the base, agarwood and leather take over, rich, unapologetic, long-lasting. Raspberry and pear reveal themselves slowly in the dry-down, adding a jammy sweetness that makes Marj quietly addictive at close range.

Two sprays are enough. Three is a statement.

Best for - evenings, weddings, Eid, occasions. Peaks in India's cooler months (October–February). One spray in summer, AC settings year-round.

Concentration - Extrait de Parfum. Higher oil content than standard EDP. Expect 8–10 hours on skin, longer on clothing.
